If water is life, as they say, then clean water will lead to a better life. But that isn’t the case for the people living in Ningokofe, a small fishing/farming community located along a branch of the River Volta at Dowhenya in the Greater Accra Region, Ghana.
This community consists of farmers and fisherfolk, with some of its youth engaged in stone quarrying. Although this community is in the Greater Accra Region, it lacks access to potable water. I saw a tap that they said served as a source of clean water, but it doesn’t dispense any liquid.
